Benjamin Schlesinger and Associates, Inc. (BSA) is a leading management
consulting firm specializing in all strategic aspects of the energy
industries worldwide. Our strength is in our experience - and our
breadth, vision, flexibility, and versatility in helping our clients to
better compete in today’s rapidly changing energy markets. In our
core practice area of natural gas, our focus includes economic and
regulatory analysis, market research, spot and futures trading, gas rate
development, and related technical and environmental analyses.
Recent restructuring and emerging spot markets in the power industry
have led us to expand our practice to encompass electricity, with
particular focus on those electricity issues impacting the natural gas
industry.

BSA was formed in 1984 in the spirit of providing specialized consulting
services affecting all segments of the natural gas industry. By consistently
helping clients adapt to the changing world, the company has earned a reputation
for providing innovative solutions and strategies to the energy industry.
In the early 1990s, BSA's practice broadened to include a major emphasis on
providing the investment and banking community with independent fuel due
diligence services in conjunction with project finance of major power projects
and pipelines.

BSA has chosen to remain a relatively small firm, concentrating in
specialized areas and strategically-oriented. This preference guarantees
high-level attention of our highly experienced leadership team. Where a project requires other specialized skills, BSA
prefers to employ the services of trusted partners with complementary expertise.
This formula has succeeded in enabling us to provide our clients with diverse strategic analyses.

Our dedication to client value is evidenced by the amount of repeat
and referral work we perform for a client roster that numbers more
than 400 in 27 countries. Our clients cover the full spectrum:
from production and power generation to transmission and marketing.
Another measure of our success is the use of our strategic consulting
services by other professional services firms. BSA's clients have also
included many prominent law firms, other consultants, financial
services firms and trade associations

Our major assignments include providing independent reviews of fuel
supply, transportation, delivery, pricing and forecasts for more than 100 power
generating facilities;
evaluating gas sales, markets, and prices for producers, pipelines, and
distribution companies; auditing utility market, rate and supply planning processes,
key assumptions, and energy forecasts; providing economic research and analysis
for potential new gas and electricity markets. BSA also publishes an annual
Directory of Energy Marketing Service Companies in North America and, more
recently, in Europe as well. Finally, BSA has provided clients with
litigation support and expert testimony in civil and regulatory proceedings
throughout North America.
